We offer desktop licenses for the creation of print products such as posters, brochures, business cards, logos, corporate designs, etc.

In addition, we offer a web license to use the font on a website for a certain number of users per month.

If you want to create print products like flyers, brochures, business cards, etc. for your customers, your desktop license is sufficient.

But you are not allowed to distribute the fonts to your customers. If your customers want to install the font on their own devices to make changes to your designs or for other corporate design elements, they need their own desktop license.

If you use a web license, this is only sufficient for the domain registered with the order. You or your clients need a separate license for each website.

If you have a web license, you cannot use it for a completely different website, even if the old website has been shut down. You have to buy a new license. There is an exception for websites whose content remains completely the same and only the domain actually changes.

Yes, as long as you have the necessary desktop license it is allowed to embed the fonts in the print file for the printing company. After printing, the printing house must destroy the copies of the fonts on their devices, and you agree to ensure that this is done.

Yes, you can test all our fonts on our website. If you want to test the fonts on your computer, you are able to download our trial fonts. by downloading you accept all terms of the EULA and trial font license agreement.

We offer all our fonts with a free Student License. With this license you may use the font for all your student and personal projects and you may use it for a web portfolio (one domain).

You can show your work, created with our fonts, on the web and on social platforms like Behance, Dribbble or Instagram. As long as you are enrolled at a design college/university and don't make money with the project in which you used our fonts, you can do almost anything – see the Student License section for more information.

Yes, with a desktop license you are allowed to create a word mark as part of a logo. However, you may not modify the entire font. For more information see the Desktop License. For font modifications, which we can do, please send us an email to support@formatpunktotf.de.

A desktop license allows the installation of fonts on a number of computers specified in the order. The fonts can be used in desktop publishing software to design products such as brochures, flyers, posters, business cards, newspapers, books and magazines, print advertising, logos&logotypes or images for print and web (static images only), product packaging, presentations or film and video (not for broadcast). The price is based on the number of users/computers on which the font is installed.

After your payment you will immediately receive a download link with the required font files in a .zip folder. You will receive the desktop font files as OpenType fonts, in .otf file format. Variable fonts will be delivered as OpenType fonts in .ttf file format. In addition, you will receive an invoice as a PDF, which is valid as a "license certificate".

The fonts can be installed and used on the number of computer devices specified in the order. If you want to use and install the fonts on additional devices, you must purchase an upgrade. For this purpose, send us an e-mail with your purchase receipt to support@formatpunktotf.de with your upgrade wishes.

The fonts may not be used in a way that makes them available to the public or unlicensed third parties. Under no circumstances may the licensed fonts be shared with contractors, freelancers or affiliates. They are intended solely for you, your organization or employees.

By purchasing a font, you agree to take steps to protect the fonts from access and use by unlicensed third parties. If you discover unauthorized access and/or use by an unlicensed third party, you agree to notify format.otf.

The embedding of our fonts in documents (e.g. PDFs), is permitted as long as the document text cannot be edited and it is ensured that the recipients (e.g. the printers) of such documents cannot extract and/or use the embedded fonts.
The use of our fonts on a website without a web license is strictly prohibited. A separate web font license is available separately.

Rasterized images of limited text and/or logos created with one of our fonts are permitted. However, this license explicitly prohibits embedding or using the fonts in hardware and software in any form. This includes video games, online documents, mobile applications, or software. If you wish to use the fonts for such purposes, please contact us at support@formatpunktotf.de.

You can create artwork or customized word marks based on the fonts for your personal or business use. However, the use of font creation programs to modify the font or create a substitute version of the font is prohibited in all cases. Under no circumstances may you modify, adapt, alter or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the fonts or the designs contained therein. You also agree not to assign any third party to make changes to the Fonts without our prior written consent. If you wish to make such modifications, please contact support@formatpunktotf.de.

With our desktop license, you may use our fonts in rasterized images that may be shared in social media if your account has fewer than 50.000 followers. For accounts with more than 50.000 followers, a social media license is available as an upgrade to the desktop license. In this case, just send us a request to support@formatpunktotf.de.

Our fonts with web license are for styling text on your website and can only be used for the domain specified when ordering. They can be integrated into your website using the CSS @font-face rule.

The Web license does not allow you to use the font in other cases, you may not use it in desktop publishing software, for use in applications or social media. You can obtain a Desktop License or App License for this purpose.

The font can be integrated into your website using the CSS @font-face rule. Only the font files WOFF (".woff", ".woff2") and EOT (".eot") (or OpenType .ttf for variable fonts) provided by us may be used. The use of alternative formats (e.g. .svg or .otf) is expressly prohibited.

It is not allowed to allow a user of the website to edit text with the web fonts if the result is a new document. Examples include personalized products such as posters, postcards, an individual portfolio or any other individual product. The web fonts are licensed for your own use only. You may not use the Web Fonts as a tool or resource for third parties to create customized products or documents.

Our web fonts may not be used on unlicensed domains, even if hosted on a licensed domain. If you discover unauthorized access and/or use by an unlicensed third party, you agree to notify us immediately.

You can use our app fonts in an application for the mobile phone, desktop or the web that you specify when ordering. A single app font license covers applications that are functionally equivalent across multiple platforms and operating systems (for example Mac OSX, Windows, Android, iOS).

The app fonts can be embedded in a single app specified on your sales document. You can use the app fonts to style, display, and edit text in your app. You and the end user can use the fonts to output static files such as .pdf, .jpeg, or .png, provided that the end user does not have the ability to edit the fonts in the final format.

Our App fonts may not be used on unlicensed Apps, even if hosted on a licensed domain. If you discover unauthorized access and/or use by an unlicensed third party, you agree to notify us immediately.

The app fonts can only be embedded in the app specified on your sales document.

With this license you may use the font for all your student and personal projects and you may use it for a web portfolio (one domain).

You can show your work, created with our fonts, on the web and on social platforms like Behance, Dribbble or Instagram. As long as you are enrolled at a design college/university and don't make money with the projects (excluded are profits from design prizes or scholarships — they are okay for sure).

You are allowed to show your work at all exhibitions such as semester exhibitions or exhibitions in studios.

If you agree to this terms and licenses and want to get one of our fonts, just send us an email from your university mail account to support@formatpunktotf.de with following information:

Full Name, University, Faculty, Semester and which font you would like to have for which purpose, then you will get the right font files for your purposes.

You may not use the font for client-projects or projects you earn money with  (excluded are profits from design prizes or scholarships — they are okay for sure).

You can use our fonts free of charge as long as you are enrolled at a design college. If you have completed your studies or no longer have student status, you agree to either bypass the necessary licenses or remove all fonts from your computer. You also agree to remove the fonts from your possible web servers if you have used the font for web projects.

Projects with our fonts posted on Behance, Dribbble, Instagram or similar platforms may remain online. If you are unsure, or if you have questions about your case, please send us an email to support@formatpunktotf.de

You can use these test fonts to mock up your print, web or app designs for approval before licensing the full versions. This free Trial fonts are for testing purposes only. You may not distribute, rent, sell, give away, publicly or privately share any modified or unmodified version of the fonts. You are not receiving the copyright to the design or any other part of the fonts. The fonts will always remain copyrighted to us. Do not modify the trail fonts in any case.

The download includes all of our retail fonts in the OpenType (.otf) format and the WebOpenFont format (.woff2)

No, we give no refunds, all sales are final.

We know this sounds harsh, but we cannot give refunds or exchange font licenses because we have no way of verifying that you no longer have copies of the font software.

We do not guarantee that the font files will work properly on every single operating system, platform, etc. All purchases and transactions are final. We do not offer refunds - so please make sure you have the correct font licenses in your shopping cart before you proceed to checkout.

By downloading, purchasing, installing or otherwise handling our fonts, you accept all terms of this end user license agreement. This is an agreement between you and format.otf (format.tif GbR) and replaces any prior oral or written agreements. If you do not accept all of the terms, you can not download or request or use any of our fonts.

You may not distribute, rent, sell, give away, publicly or privately share any modified or unmodified version of the fonts.

You are not receiving the copyright to the design or any other part of the fonts, just the rights to use the fonts as specified in this agreement. The purchased fonts will always remain copyrighted to us.

The purchased fonts may only be used for the specific amount of users (desktop licenses), page views (web licenses) or downloads (app licenses) purchased.

Do not modify the fonts in any case. Please contact us with a request and we will find an agreement on a price for the modification.

We do our best to create fonts without errors and problems. If you have any difficulties with our fonts anyway, we will also do our best to fix the problem or help you with troubleshooting. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fix the errors, provide you a 24/7 support or offer a refund. This is not possible.

We do not give you any refunds. Any usage of the fonts are on your own risk. We do not guarantee that the font files work perfectly on every single os, platform, browser, etc.

All purchases and transactions are final. We do not offer any refunds.

Any breach of the terms of this agreement is causing a termination of your license. After any termination of the agreement you must destroy any copies of the fonts, including your archival copies. However, you will not receive a refund.
